National Nonprofit Petco Love Invests in Loving Care Cat Rescue to Save and Improve the Lives of Cats and Kittens in South Central PA
Harrisburg, PA May 29,2025 – Loving Care Cat Rescue (LCCR) recently received a $8,500 grant investment from national nonprofit Petco Love in support of its lifesaving work for cats in South Central Pennsylvania.
Petco Love is a national nonprofit leading change for pets by harnessing the power of love to make communities and pet families closer, stronger, and healthier. Since its founding in 1999, Petco Love has invested nearly $410 million in adoption and other lifesaving efforts. Also, Petco Love helps find loving homes for pets in partnership with Petco and more than 4,000 organizations — like ours — across North America, with nearly 7 million pets adopted thus far.
“Our investment in Loving Care Cat Rescue is part of more than $12M in investments recently announced by Petco Love to power local organizations across the country as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” said Susanne Kogut, president of Petco Love. “Our local investments are only part of our strategy to empower animal lovers to drive lifesaving change right alongside us. We launched Petco Love Lost, a free national lost and found database that uses photo-matching technology to simplify the search for lost pets.”
“As a 100% volunteer organization whose mission is to provide loving care to every cat regardless of its circumstances or medical condition, these funds are vital to covering medical and other expenses that exceed what we collect in adoption donations,” said Lisa Snyder, Director. Founded in 2016, Loving Care Cat Rescue averages 935 cat rescues each year and places many of the kitties in permanent homes. As a 501 (c)(3) organization, LCCR relies entirely on donations to fund the care for its rescued cats and kittens.
