Boris

Boris’s Story

When it came to life, Boris was dealt a bad hand. It started out wonderfully enough. He had a human companion who treated him like the world.  They were both elderly and wanted to live their lives happily in their twilight years. Sadly, his owner passed away, leaving Boris alone with no human to care for him. The poor tuxedo was distraught over the loss of his human companion.  It was around this time that LCCR rescued him.

But Boris now faced another challenge. Elderly cats tend to be picked over for younger, more spry kittens.  Boris was a 10-year-old cat, but aside from only having 6 teeth, he was healthy, active, and lovable.

His situation changed when he met Jamie and her family. Boris’ high level of affection and handsome looks won them over, and at long last, he finally found his forever family. His family has noted that even though he was 10 years old when they adopted him, Boris has the energy of a 2-year-old, which he uses to play with his new brother, another older kitty.

His owner has stated:

“We encourage anyone looking to adopt to consider an older pet.  We know he had a life before us, and we would have missed out on all of his love if we hadn’t considered an older cat. Don’t write off the seniors!  He was a great choice for us, even though he is the most annoyingly affectionate cat I’ve ever met. Thank you to all of the team members and volunteers who make adoption through LCCR possible!”
