Diva’s Story
Hello….. Let me introduce myself, my name is Feta “Diva Lovebug” and this is my success story since being adopted from this rescue.
Let’s start with just a little of my background so you can understand my life. I was not treated very well by my first family. They decided they didn’t want me anymore and were going to dump me in the woods. I don’t know how it all happened but I was saved by this rescue.
I was taken in by Loving Care Cat Rescue. My foster Ellyn and her family gave me toys and actually played with me and showed me how a pet should be treated and gave me lots of love. They worked with me so I could trust humans.
Ellyn looked very hard for a home that would understand and accept the “DIVA” in me. I had attempts with other humans, but they didn’t work out and I was back with Ellyn and her loving family.
Then one day these new humans showed up to “meet me and check me out”. They were friendly towards me so I showed them that I approved by rubbing on them. They left without me BUT came back the next day for me.
On the car ride the human lady sat in the back seat with me and talked to me so I wouldn’t be scared. She seemed to be caring and wanted me to be comfortable.
We got to where they live and they stayed with me and let me warm up to them at a pace I wanted, so I wouldn’t get spooked or feel threatened. I could tell they really liked me and that they had potential.
When I didn’t want to be bothered, I showed them the “DIVA” in me and it didn’t scare them away, they left me have my space. Then I decided to show them the “LOVE BUG” side of me. Wow… it was wonderful to have a warm lap to lay on and be rubbed with such a tender touch.
Fast forward to now… more than two years later. Those same humans play with me, give me yummy treats and give me so much affection and love. I thought I would never see that after leaving Ellyn and her family. But those humans became my family, and I couldn’t ask for a more loving forever home.
Thank you to Ellyn for all her hard work to make sure I found a family that would be a perfect fit.
