Turbo and Sinead’s Story
Turbo and his friend Sinead were each 6 months old when diagnosed with FIP in October 2024.
Turbo was diagnosed with “wet FIP”. He was losing a lot of weight, sporting a fever, and growing what looked like a soccer ball in his belly (a result of fluid accumulation). His vet recommended euthanasia, but a friend of Turbo’s family convinced them to surrender him to LCCR to save his life.
Sinead was an LCCR foster kitten when his foster parent started to notice that she was losing weight, having fevers, and sleeping a lot. Soon, Sinead was diagnosed with “dry FIP”, which often shows up in the cat’s eyes, with redness, pain and vision lost in the uvea, or the middle layer of the eye.
Turbo and Sinead rallied quickly after starting their daily treatments. Turbo’s belly shrank back to normal size within a week, and Sinead’s eyes were normal after just three days. They regained the energy older kittens normally have, and resumed running around with the zoomies and wrestling each other.
FIP Warriors 5.0 helped LCCR track their improvement through monthly bloodwork and manage increased dosages as they continued to gain weight.
After six months, both Turbo and Sinead were declared cured! Both were adopted in May 2025 to separate families where they continue to be living proof that GS saves lives. They join the countless number of cats who are “FIP Warriors”
